Thank you for all you do, Kim. I hope you have a lovely and relaxing time with friends and family. Give Mister a good scratch at the base of his tail and behind the ears or wherever is his favorite spot. Looking forward to more GOACA in 2025 or sooner if the mood strikes you!

I was so tempted by that cute JCrew black cashmere tee, but the black tee collection in my closet is already monstrously large. Instead found a cute navy striped tee on sale, so thanks. Enjoy a relaxing break. As someone not celebrating Wednesday, I’m looking forward to a Chinese takeout feast followed by a movie (I’m pushing for “A Complete Unknown”).

Um, a sweatshirt trench sounds perfect! If only there were another color besides tan and black (trying not to default to black so much, and tan is awful on me), I’d be all over it. That first jacket is gorgeous and I’d be sorely tempted, but final sale is daunting and I’m not sure about size. Have a relaxing and peaceful holiday season, and thank you for all you do, Kim.

There is a shorter version available in more colours. And on sale today per her most recent post. :)

Thanks for such a great site, and enjoy your break!

I saw a woman wearing the regular F&E Belfast jacket while standing in line to vote last month. She had it over a crew neck sweater, with skinny jeans and boots, and she looked great. I thought it looked like a very useful piece—classic, even, which is what a piece needs to be to justify these prices. F&E quality and fit is exceptional—elevated even—but the prices are a stumbling block regardless.

Agree the prices on F&E are daunting, but it’s a brand that is easily found on secondhand sites like Poshmark and ThreadUp and also, I’ve found many pieces in consignment stores.

Most definitely! I also just noticed they do pre-loved as well, something a lot of brands are now doing (yay!), which takes the sting off a bit.

Have a nice holiday rest Kim. As always, love your posts.

Just found you this month and loving your perspective. The block shop dress is fab, and as someone living in Canada, I’m wondering what you would layer it with in the winter? Maybe I need to look at some of your older posts for style inspiration :)

I'd layer it over a turtleneck or thin tee—this one from Uniqlo looks ideal: https://go.shopmy.us/p-11529524

I'm happy I found you. Let's hope we can both get through the next week or so with ease and grace... and maybe even find one or two things to smile about. See you soon, and enjoy a little time away from the internet!

Today I was listening to 88.5 FM, the So Cal Sound radio station, and they were playing Hanukkah music. When they started playing the O Hanukkah song, an old memory came back to me of learning this song in kindergarten for the holiday pageant. I memorized this song and had some basic dance moves in preparation for the performance. At the last minute, one of the teachers saw me rehearsing this song, and announced to the other teachers: “she’s not Jewish! Give her something else to do!” Instead of performing O Hanukkah that night, I remember a teacher taping white crepe paper to my wrists, and telling me to twirl around like a snowflake.

Totally see what you mean about the Rag & Bone jeans. Cable knit sweater is another winner.

And while I'm here may I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year? This blog just gets better and better. Much appreciated.
