A bit of housekeeping: This will probably be my last post until 2025; expect me back here on the regular on Tuesday, January 2. It’s possible that I might post before then if I get inspired (or bored), so check your inbox. Meanwhile, I’m looking forward to a little break, and hope that you’re getting one too. Thanks as always for being the best community a person could hope for. Your continued loyalty, and kindness to each other, means more to me than you know. And now, on to the stuff: I showed you this amazing jacket before—I think it’s a perfect piece-that-makes-the-outfit—but now it’s on sale, and I’m tempted afresh.
Also marked down: this excellent block-print top from Rachel Comey. The color combination here is stupendous.
I’ve had a revelation concerning pants, and that is that I require ones with a generous amount of stretch. But I don’t love pants that actually look stretchy, and this Rag & Bone pair doesn’t appear to. Also! GOACA readers get 20% off their orders! Just type in the code KIM20 at checkout.
I am a big fan of Block Shop, a brand out of L.A. that does great things with hand-printed textiles (I haven’t been to their newish store yet, but am hoping to on my next trip to California). I’ve bought rugs and scarves from them, and now I’m hugely tempted by this cool silk dress, which would be great in a kind of layered situation right now, and equally great on its own later, when it gets warm again.
I think the cable knit and saffron shade of this sweater are so great, but if the latter isn’t so much your thing, it also comes in black.
A trench made of sweatshirt material sounds so lame, so why is this the cutest thing ever? I’ve got some travel coming up, and this seems like a perfect piece for the plane.
A really smart-looking wool-blend circle skirt that also strikes me as quite versatile.
I don’t usually like tiers on a skirt, but if I were traveling somewhere warm this holiday season, I’d totally go for this cute tie-dye number.
And finally, a featherweight cashmere tee worth getting in multiples.
Enjoy your time off, Kim. I understand from reading and listening that this is not your favorite time of year. Be good to yourself. I very much appreciate your content!
Kim, thank you for another great year of your posts and listening to EIF. Be Kind to Yourself.
Cheers to Everyone in the Community. Love that jacket too.
