That Madewell top would be on my body today if I had it in my closet!! And...I don't own an iron and I have a number of button up shirts including linen––I am wrinkled body, face and button-ups and I do not care!!
What’s everybody’s take on what to wear under sheer/semi-sheer tops if you’re in the over 50 club? I mean, I know we can wear whatever we want but I find myself wavering when it comes to the choice. As in, it’s 90 degrees and I just want to wear a bralette under this and not a camisole but do I feel too mutton dressed as lamb or do I feel like I DGAF?
For me, it’s not a matter of age but modesty. I just don’t feel comfortable showing a lot of my skin or lingerie in public. And I’ve felt this way since my 20s. I’d be fine with a lightweight white linen or silk top or maybe this same top in a different color — or the Madewell one Kim included a few weeks ago that was a thin white cotton with orange stripes.
I was just in Italy during a heat wave and got a couple of these to wear under super-sheer tops. They are a very cooling under-layer and great for sleeping, too:
Theory is extremely slept-on. They make great basics and sweaters. I stay away from the office-lady stuff and go for secondhand linen. Their pants are cut like a dream and always fit me.
I don't know why I still get excited when I see a good pair of black pants, since I already have too many. But I do, and I "ooh'd" out loud when I saw the Theory ones. I'll have to watch for a sale.
So many good things, Kim. Thank you. I love the COS skirt. What a great find. Funny that you mentioned the navy in those AM sandals b/c I was going to hop on here to say how much I love the yellow ones. Such a good yellow. :)
Those silver sandals are super cute! I use my iron all the time, but not for ironing button downs. I use it for ironing wrinkled t-shirts and for sewing projects.
I have and love that Madewell blouse—it’s so pretty and cool. I've been wearing it nonstop for the last month. I only wish there were more colors, but maybe it’s worth it to buy an extra at the current price? I’m sure I’ll get some kind of stain on it soon enough 😂

Ironing? What's that?

I wear my silver metallic Birkenstocks almost every day. They’re kind of magic in how they look good with everything!
I have been debating those Ann Mashburn sandals for weeks! I think you just made my decision.
I absolutely LOVE the navy sandals. Ordering them today!

How is the sizing on this? Some madewell is so big… is this true to size?
I sized down and it was fine.
Okay, I finally bought the COS skirt after seeing it three? times in this newsletter, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.
