When it’s scorching out, I reach for this cute and lighter-than-air pintuck top from Madewell. It’s just *almost* sheer, which I kind of like, and isn’t cropped, as so many, many tops are these days.
I haven’t worn anything from Theory in quite a while, but then they sent me these crisp linen pull-on pants, and I am emphatically all in. All bodies are different of course, and what works for one person might not for another, but I find these pants to have a very nearly perfect fit, and I never feel that way. I also quite like this lightweight pair, in a light denim shade.
This button-down costs more than I usually spend on button-downs, but it is perfectly crisp, and nicely cut, and even looks OK if I wear it without ironing, (which is how, for better or worse, I wear most of my shirts).
This dark navy cotton drawstring skirt is a miracle, and probably the item I’m wearing most of all. The cut is flattering and streamlined, with just enough volume but not too much. It’s not left in a ton of sizes at the moment, but maybe you’ll get lucky.
I’ve been throwing on these silver sandals whenever I leave the house instead of just defaulting to Birkenstocks, and they have the ability to make whatever I’m wearing look that much more put-together. They’re super-comfortable too, and also come in this really good navy.
That Madewell top would be on my body today if I had it in my closet!! And...I don't own an iron and I have a number of button up shirts including linen––I am wrinkled body, face and button-ups and I do not care!!
What’s everybody’s take on what to wear under sheer/semi-sheer tops if you’re in the over 50 club? I mean, I know we can wear whatever we want but I find myself wavering when it comes to the choice. As in, it’s 90 degrees and I just want to wear a bralette under this and not a camisole but do I feel too mutton dressed as lamb or do I feel like I DGAF?
