I know that at least part of the answer to the question of why there aren’t more good black jeans is that I’m very picky about them. I don’t like a pitch-black pair, but instead one that is a bit washed out and charcoal-y in hue. I also require at least a bit of stretch, and this great pair from Frank & Eileen has a ton of that, without quite looking like it does.
These straight jeans from Levi’s come in a variety of lengths, which I appreciate.
I dig the patch pockets on this cute pair from Mother Denim.
These, from Old Navy, have a really appealing cut and couldn’t be much cheaper.
I know that not all of you enjoy a cropped hem, but I really do, and think these are pretty great.
A local boutique recently held a huge consignment sale of customer castoffs. I found a pair of skinny jeans in the perfect washed black for $75. Fit like a dream. By R13, which I rushed to Google. OMG, the prices! But if you have a resource to try them on in person to find your style and fit, you can stalk at second hand sites online.
Kim I just paid off my credit card and those Frank and Eileen jeans are CALLING TO ME and you have to stop doing this to meeeeee
