The great thing about the Universal Standard ones is the invisible snap at the bust that prevents gaping.

I agree, I am average size, and height. I buy the xs and it is still big. I am on my second round of the blue and white oxford. The first round I had taken in and may do it with the second round.

That TWP one is to die for but I’m not sure I’ll ever have $425 for a button down

I've been making beaded necklaces lately and all I want to wear are beads and button downs. How do you guys wear the longer styles? I've been tying mine at the waist because I don't like having all that fabric tucked in and am too short to wear them untucked. I'm not sure it's the most sophisticated style, though.

I have the same issue with them being so long, plus my arms aren't skinny so sizing down doesn't always work. I did buy one of Gap's Big Shirts but sized down in a petite size and it is a nice, relaxed fit without being too long. I have been eying that Xirena shirt too since it seems shorter without being completely cropped.

I'd happily own all of these, but I'm extra smitten with the dusty pink of the Cos version. Something about that color has been appealing to me all summer.

My favorite shirts hands down are the With Nothing Underneath shirts. They have several silhouettes but my favorite is the classic, but if you are tall there are other shapes that might be better. And I broke down and bought a Frank and Eileen jean shirt and really do like it.

Not only is the Gap version on sale, it comes in some really fun colors. Just ordered the red/pink stripe and the burgundy/purple stripe.

I did not know poplin was a fabric. Once again this Substack has made me a little smarter.

I already own two of the long sleeved version of the Everlane one, please don’t tempt me to buy the short sleeved one! Everlane really does the boxy cut well, in my opinion.
