That short sleeve silk shirt from Everlane that you featured last week is absolutely perfect. Literally no bad angles. Thank you!

Has anyone tried Rothy's shoes? Thoughts on quality and fit?

They are actually insanely comfortable, and so far have worn well.

I have several pairs of Rothy’s and I can vouch for their comfort. It’s also great that you can just throw them in the washing machine and they look brand spanking new!

I’ve got them in my cart now but $245 Cdn is making me a bit ill , having never seen them in person …..more than I usually spend on a shoe if I can help it .

I tried a pair when I was in NYC recently- they fit well and were comfortable but not $245 CAD comfortable. If I’m going to pay that much I’ll get the ones from Maguire.

Some solid choices here. The JCrew white embroidered blouse would look great with well worn jeans. And the brown gingham shirt dress by description hits two of my negative buttons––gingham and brown––but seeing the photo it's pretty adorable.

If they think your arms don’t look good in sleeveless, that’s their problem! Be comfortable, Kim. Life is too short..

I've avoided Rothy's in the past because they're overpriced IMO, but those studded Mary Janes are kind of irresistible.

The J Crew blouse is gorgeous. I don't need it, but I really appreciate it!

For everyone reading, an important thing to note is that with crocheted clothing you should expect to pay more, because crochet (unlike knit) must be done by hand, no machines can create it. If the garment is priced inexpensively, that means it was made by exploited workers, often children.

They actually say in the product description that the top is machine-knit

That’s great! But then it’s by definition not crochet. Perhaps that’s beside the point in this instance, but I feel like Substack is the place that I can really care about words having clear definitions.

As a crocheter and a knitter I too look very closely at the item to make sure.

Ahhh it’s says machine crochet stitch but maybe it’s really knit to look like crochet. Whatever🙂 I’m not buying it anyway.

Cute mary janes. Wild "beach shirt". J.Crew embroidered shirt is fine indeed.
