I love these posts. It makes me re-evaluate what I have in my closet and drawers. Specifically if it still fits or feels like my style. A great example are the black flare jeans I mentioned in a post last week. Tried them on and then put them in the donate pile. Like Kim with ball caps, I can't do black jeans. My to-do this week is to cull down t-shirts and this post inspired me to do that. And I am curvier than I once was (thanks mid-40s and probably perimenopause) and I am getting into the mindset to shop for what makes me feel good/comfortable.

and as a p.s. I am starting to ignore size labels and buy what fits and then tailor it if needed to ME.

Hi! The link to your "new favorite bra" goes to the Penelope Chilvers boots, which are adorable by the way

Ball caps. I can’t wear them. They look ridiculous on my giant pumpkin head. But even as a look, I’m not convinced. As for that striped jacket. I am so glad they don’t carry my size. I’d be seriously tempted.

I'm seriously considering those sunglasses. I called and was told that one could have prescription lenses put in the frame. I've never not bought frames from an optometrist - anyone have experience on this matter?

It really depends on how powerful your lenses are. Most people can get away with online glasses or cheaper frames, but for those of like who are like Velma from Scooby Doo, we really do need to buy our frames at the optometrist and have our Coke-bottles fit by experts.

I buy all of my glasses from Zenni Optical. I use my optometrist's prescription, and they've all been great. I've also used Warby Parker which is more costly but even better quality. I just think it's crazy to spend hundreds of dollars on frames.

I have had one pair of cheapo frames lensed and my 6 year old Celine frames done. They made me sign in case they were damaged during the process that they were not responsible, both pairs came out great.

Ooh, this post makes me very want-ey. Especially the eyelet blouse, the yellow sneakers, and the fantastic striped jacket. I love the whole outfit the jacket is styled with. Has anyone pulled the trigger on Me+Em clothing? Any feedback on the quality or sizing?

I have a gorgeous Me & Em trench coat, so I can only speak to that for size and quality (A+). The coat is oversized - I'm tall, 5’10.5” and 138-142 day-specific, and I bought a small-it’s very roomy.

Considering a couple blouses from Sezanne, but im not familiar with their sizing. If I’m typically a size US12 (52, 5’9”, broad shoulders), do I stick with the same size?

I open WAY too many tabs when I read your posts.

Nice! I basically have the black zip jacket but I totally want the rest! The sneakers…those times when a company NAILS a color 💛

I have a very similar brown leather skirt that I purchased on the Real Real during the pandemic for a song. Even at full price ($700+) I would have bought it. It’s more versatile than one would think, plus it’s an outfit maker - wear it with anything and look fabulous. Today it was with a white button down and the tiger sweatshirt from Revolve from a while back. Perfect!

Those sneakers are amazing! Does anyone know if Gola's run TTS, small or big?

I have a pair that are this amazing green/pink combo (sourced from this blog, of course). I got my true size.

Midi length anything are the enemy of short people. They always look so weird on me and I have to get them tailored. They end up about an inch above my ankle and not in the nice mid shin length you see in photos!

I'm with you on baseball caps but that one's pretty groovy. Both skirts are winners... the pj's too. The boots look comfy and sensible.

Those Gola UCLA school colored sneakers are sold out in my size. I found a pair of Adidas with the same but reversed color scheme. I’m still wearing the Cos sunglasses I heard about here from last year. I had my sunglasses prescription put in them and they look great! Both pairs of your winter boots would make me wish winter was longer! 😎
