It has been almost comically cold here in New York, with treacherously icy sidewalks, so apologies in advance for not getting this post to you sooner. I can’t bear for my feet to be cold, or—heaven forfend—to get wet, and this insulated waterproof suede pair looks like it would keep things cozy. I also like how streamlined the design is.
A classic Blundstone, but waterproof, and with Thinsulate lining.
Moon Boots are definitely a vibe—they scream space expedition—but I like that vibe.
For when the snow is really coming down, this sturdy Sorel pair makes lots of sense.
A fleece-lined pair of Doc Martens would be both versatile and kind of fun.
The Incredible Boot by Penelope Chilvers is my ride-or-die on chilly, icy mornings. I’m on my second pair (the first lasted a decade) and I think they’re just about the cutest snow boots I’ve ever seen.
I dig the platform sole on these otherwise pretty classic Timberlands.
A sort of hybrid sneaker boot that’s waterproof and very walkable.
And finally, this also comes in black, but the creamy white here is so excellently Snow Queen.
Is it wrong to lust after a winter boot? Because that's how I feel about the Penelope Chilvers. Every time you post, I'm like: is this the time?
This week has been super icy in Philadelphia. I'm living for my YakTrax, which pop on to the bottom of your shoes and give you really good traction on ice and snow.
