When it’s hot and gross out like it is right now, I much prefer throwing one of these on over a tee, because I think the collar makes them more crisp and put-together-looking, which is a plus when it’s wilting out. I like that this cute red striped number has a placket that goes lower than most.
Just a cool and slouchy oversized relaxed linen option.
This is made of cotton terry, which is fun, and especially good for a beach day.
Why not a cute and perky yellow choice?
This long sleeve polo just telegraphs chic.
This pinkish-coral polo might not be ideal for right now (it’s cashmere), but I’d wear the hell out of it once it cools down.
The red, white, and black stripes here are so pleasingly graphic.
A honeycomb knit choice in such a happy blue.
Another open knit option—I like the deeper neckline.
And finally, a refined silk-cotton blend that I’m certain I’d wear on repeat.
Back in 1979 this bitch used to wear two (count 'em), TWO Izod polo shirts at once, in complimentary colors. With POPPED COLLARS, no less. NO ARIZONA STATE FRAT BOY COULD RESIST ME. I swept them right out of their topsiders with my splendor.
Related: I cannot wear polo shirts to this day.
Is it my imagination or are these models, like, extreeeemly thin? Leafing through a recent Harper's Bazaar issue I thought most of the models looked anorexic; I guess we're back to that? Sadly? xo
