I’ve just experienced my first TARRIF NIGHTMARE. I ordered a cropped, Shetland wool fair isle turtleneck from Cabbages & Roses, a British site with Toast vibes. The sweater was $245, marked down to $195. The Cabbages site states that “all duty, import, tax and handling charges are now captured at checkout,” so you can imagine my surprise when I began receiving texts and emails from DHL Express informing me that unless I paid an import duty of $49.50 within 5 business days my package would be returned to the sender. I didn’t want to pay DHL with my credit card online unless I was sure the emails, which looked legit, weren’t a scam. Fortunately Cabbage’s customer service was excellent. They explained that my order had been shipped after new tariffs had been levied by the U.S. and offered to reimburse me for the cost of the import duty. The point is that the cost of tariffs our idiot president thinks are a good idea will often be born by consumers. Damn! Btw, I love my new sweater. 🥰

I have had fantastic luck with everything I've ever ordered on Etsy. It's my go-to web site whenever I'm looking for any home goods or anything vintage. And what a great way to support small businesses and women owned businesses. Really glad you posted this Kim! And that quilt!!!

That dress is so pretty....I really wish it wasn't spaghetti straps though. I have boobs. My pushing 60 year old body feels too bare in spaghetti straps and a boob tube lol. Yes of course a cardi over it but run hot. I wish there was a version that was more of a tank style or even a cap sleeve so I could were a normal bra. Great picks though! Love the napkins and very pricey lamp!!

Hello Boob Sister. Im slightly behind you and got my first "prom dress" last summer at 55 for an Italian wedding. I have avoided strapless bras all my life and I tell you this thing changed my wardrobe ! I wore it with tee shirts too. I got a nude and a black. You do occasionally, (for me once during a 9 hour wedding day.) bend over in the ladies and hoist everything back up. I wore an olive satin slip dress with cross back ties, was an LBD at everything my whole life. https://www.balibras.com/lilyette-reg-by-bali-reg-tailored-strapless-minimizer-reg-bra.html?srsltid=AfmBOopHuoVBRXXFTFhZyu_NoCcsuzkAeJs4Ni7kqq-kNj3bA-Xw7HCH

I bought a white linen tank dress on lake como because I could! They are inexpensive, arrive quickly. 36DD.

I have ordered many potholders from my favorite fabric artist which I initially set up as an art project and are now slated to be sewn into a quilt:

Etsy is undoubtedly the site to stay away from when I want to save money.

I love a good Etsy crawl! And I sort of collect vintage pottery, so I'm happy to learn about Jasba. I'll be keeping an eye out for their pieces.

So, how would that tariff effect us? That is what I wanted to know. It makes sense now that you said that. Your Etsy finds are stunning, by the way! I love finding a good rabbit hole when I'm on an adventure.
