Nordstrom offers early access to the sale depending upon your level of membership, which is based on spending through the years. I’m actually in the second highest level (been a card holder for 40 years) but when my early access rolled around everything in. My wish list was sold out. So, for the general public, you’re seeing about 60% of what Nordstrom actually had on sale. I’m pretty disgusted with them, to be honest.
I had the same experience, it’s a bit annoying. 90% of the items I saved were sold out by the time my access rolled around. It’s a curious tactic to me, it just means I buy less.
Ah, I bet that's what happened to that super cute Rag and Bone blazer, from the catalog.
I hope you'll let them know how you feel, esp as such a good and longstanding customer. I think it is a tough time in retail. I hope they stick around.
Great trench...really. loving navy these days. I bought one last year so not in the market but why do so many raincoats/trenches not have hoods? Black pants look nice but too pricey for me...haha always hoping I will lose weight so hard to commit to pants right now (or anytime to be honest).
Yes! Hood first thing I looked for on this one, hard to find single breasted w Epaulets. What did you get last year? I bought these black pants, 20% off with sign up. They are great, I travel so they have become my flight pants, you can roll them up in your suitcase and they come out good. Forgiving for tummy flux too. https://beyondyoga.com/products/status-tapered-pant-black-nw1283
A few Nordstrom brand sale items I looked at: silk print scarves - leopard, botanical, geo ... ? ; cedar shoe trees (men's dept but they come in small, and are US made, could be a nice gift, too); woven cotton pajama sets (scarce these days) and in plus if you look for "yarn dye" ones; layering tees (to go under things!) and basic tees (these seem to have good ratings, I haven't tried them), sock sets ... ; pull on ponte pants with those front seams that people are into now (these are synthetic though so maybe for winter here). Some Marimekko is on sale, a lot isn't.
Not on sale: some cute adidas and liberty sneakers; Birks EVA in Gizeh style but not in my size, boo; a really great skinny silk scarf in a pink floral but I'm not sure I'm a silk scarf person; and a bunch of nice yamazaki organizing items.
I didn't even get to the Spanx yet. I have never Spanxed. I get tired of shopping quickly.
Hey Kim — been reading and enjoying your blog for awhile, especially the fashion (I guess I’m of the right certain age).
On the pop culture front: have a movie about a neurodivergent young girl with synesthesia dropping next Tuesday (trailer below; there are several famous faces involved), and I’d love to collaborate with you on a post about this, or do an interview, or whatever you’d prefer. I think this might be right up your alley as it involves a 13 year old in 1997 (nostalgia :)) Please ask me any questions you have here, or feel free to DM me or email nicolarosemail@gmail.com. I ordered the Adidas sneaks before I finished scrolling through the rest of the post.

I haven't seen anything at the Nordstrom sale that seems like I must have it, but your picks are, as always, ace
Navy or Black trenches are infinitely better. Normal trench color looks horrible on me.
Same here. It’s probably the least flattering color for me
I had already purchased the gray blouse last week and can confirm, it’s very versatile and flattering.

Nice sneakers, great shades, smart polo, cool trench.
