I’ve told this story before, but I’ll tell it again: the first time I had a hot flash, I was in a Madewell store, and I thought to myself, If you are old enough to have hot flashes, Kim, you are too old to shop at Madewell. I no longer feel that way, though: this brand does skew young a lot of the time, but there’s plenty here for the rest of us to appreciate, like this cool satin dolman-sleeve button-down (it comes in several good colors), which you might want to pair with these matching pull-on pants.
Another good crescent bag—it comes on several iterations, but I think this woven leather looks so luxe.

That’s so funny because I may have had my first hot flash in a madewell dressing room yesterday and I got these super wide leg jeans that I told myself I was probably too old for but just thought they were so cute so whatever!
I loved Madewell until they quietly decided to decimate the plus-size selections. There is so little in an 18 there now, which is strange because they are owned by J. Crew, which has great extended sizes.
