Happy almost-Fourth-of-July everyone, and apologies for the fact that posting has been spotty the past couple of weeks—sometimes life just intervenes, and posting every weekday becomes impossible. I’ll be back here on the regular on Monday, though, and in the meantime let’s look at some swimwear. For starters, I love the teal shade on this classic suit, but it comes in a veritable ton of other colors too.
For those who crave a little more coverage, this surfing-inspired number might just be the ticket.
I really like the idea of a high-waisted two piece, but do I dare? This one is so damned cute.
This strapless specimen is so fun with its sweet floral print.
I like that this comes off sexy without revealing too much skin at all.
I know I just showed you this great snap-button suit, but it really is my current favorite, and the only swimsuit that has ever given me the appearance of cleavage.
I don’t really mind the idea of a swim dress at all, but so many of them are pretty matronly. This one has really simple, clean lines, which I appreciate.
Relatedly, I also kind of like the idea of a romper, like this adorable one.
I don’t usually like one-shoulder anything, but this is actually quite elegant.
The deep neckline here makes this one standout.
And finally, a well-priced zip-front suit in perky red (it comes in several other shades too).
Like most newsletters of this kind, I use affiliate links when I can, which means that if you make a purchase, I earn a little cash. Please do know, though, that nothing *ever* appears here that I wouldn’t want to wear, use, or own myself.
Am I the only person who finds struggling in and out of a one piece just torture? Give me a tankini each and every time- coverage of a 1 piece, ease and mix and match sizing of a bikini.
I surprised myself last year when I shopped for new swimsuits after realizing I hadn’t bought a new one-piece in over ten years. I ended up with a one-shoulder style and a zip-front style. I’m a member of the big-boob club, and somehow those manage to look a little sexy-sporty while containing the girls well. I’m 59, short in the torso, and thickening in the waist, so I was dreading the swimsuit search, but I’m glad I braved trying some newer styles. Just to encourage any of you who default to the same thing for years and years!
