I do not inevitably love a tote bag: the shape is kind of boring, they can be clunky, and they’re either too big or too small. But they are extremely functional, even necessary under some circumstances, so I have made it my quest today to bring you a few that are just right, starting with this amazing specimen from Clare V.
This cool handwoven leather number rings in under $200; usually woven leather bags are way more expensive.
The leather-trimmed raffia bag is fun and chic; click through to see a very cool striped version too.
I definitely prefer a more vertical tote to a horizontal one, and this is such a good example of that.
I just kind of dig the deep green here, and the price can’t be beat.
This Madewell tote comes in a ton of good iterations, but I’m really liking this tan suede.
L.L. Bean’s classic zippered Boat & Tote gets more sophisticated in black.
This comes in a few more versatile shades, but I love it in this denim-y blue.
A crafty backpack/tote, perfect for travel.
This comes in a number of cute color and print combinations, but I’m partial to this fun camo, and the yellow straps are excellent.
I love Claire V and have the Tropezienne in 3 colors, the oldest of which is pushing 9 years. In addition to all its other virtues, it’s the lightest leather tote I’ve ever had.
I've been hankering for a LLBean boat'n'tote for awhile now––today might be the day. Also, I received my gold rock star Madewell tee that Kim posted a while back and it is pretty darn perfect. Looks GREAT with white jeans!
