When I saw this spiff straw bag on the Cos site the other day, I immediately regretted not having it to bring to Jamaica with me: it’s both nicely seasonal, and big enough to be practical.
Fit Flop is having a huge sale at the moment, which pleases me, because they cranked out so many wearable, walkable sandal options this season. They sent me these platform espadrille fisherman wedges, which add a nice amount of height without somehow being too clunky. I also quite like these flatform espadrille slides, and this and really cute bright pair.
Rag & Bone has expanded its Miramar collection, in which they employ a printing technique that makes any material look like denim. I’m especially taken with these carpenter jeans made of lightweight satin, these cotton terry shorts, and this cool—and similarly lightweight—lady jacket.
It’s not like I totally think I could get away with these short silk shorts, but I’m inspired by Kim Gordon, who wore a similar pair (by Celine, I believe) when I saw her live last winter. I think they’d be perfect for a day lounging about the house in the A/C.
I don’t typically go for cropped shirts, but I might with this one, because it’s not *too* cropped, and also has such a great, subtle striped pattern.
I think I must have shown you this amazing tuxedo-inspired shirt a while ago, but now it is marked down. Still not cheap, but perhaps potentially worth it?
Another tuxedo-ish shirt, made of Japanese cotton. I wish this picture gave you a better sense of how awesome this little number is: the tiny pleats are both delicate and unexpected.
These woven nylon joggers are so soft and lightweight, and totally perfect for morning dog walks. Just FYI, it looks here as though these pants have blue details, which is misleading; I believe they were layered under a pair of leggings. Sometimes stylists make the silliest decisions.
And finally, I really like white jeans, but really dislike when they’re tight; this pair looks like it’s the exact-right amount of slouchy.

I also love that cropped shirt. I had a realization lately that with my short torso, I enjoy this length of shirt far more than all the long ones! They never get stuck on my hips or defy my efforts to do a tuck that looks halfway decent. So I have now had at least 5 shirts shortened to this length and they’re so much more wearable.
Two things...a friend of mine was gifted a pair of those rag and bone denim print sweats and they are spectacular. I've had major doubts about them, but seeing them in person totally changed my mind. And secondly, I've found a cropped button up shirt is a great overshirt in the summer when you're wearing a tee or tank and go into an air conditioned restaurant etc. Normally my dislike of cropped anything is intense, but in this particular instance they are transforming.
