So very many spring jackets
And so many of them are so excellent
I’m thinking I might do a part two on this theme in the coming weeks, because even though this post is packed with options, there were even more I wanted to include. Meanwhile, let’s see what we have here: a fine leopard print jacket in a lightweight cotton blend.
Uniqlo’s barn jacket is cute as it could possibly be, goes for just under $70 and comes in a couple of other good khaki-ish shades.
Another cute one from Varley, who just dropped their excellent spring collection.
I love the look of a subtly off-white jacket. This one is sold out in some sizes, but is still available in this pretty great olive green.
I love the little details on this great linen jacket from Toast: the band collar, the strategically-placed pockets; it all just really works.
I own Alex Mill’s Chiltern cropped jacket in this red and it gets a ton of wear: I always thought their original Chiltern jacket was too bulky, but this cropped style—which isn’t really all that cropped at all—is just right.
Maybe the sharpest rain jacket ever? Click through to check out the really cute hood.
Such a good Filson jacket, I have no notes. Except for that I love this not-born-yesterday model.
I could do a post on Barbour jackets alone, because there are truly so many good ones this season, but this sharp little number might just be my fave.
Bubble jackets are kind of a thing this season, and here’s a way to indulge that trend at a price that won’t freak you out.
A cropped workwear jacket with a wee touch of gingham, something I rarely object to.
A cool lightweight quilted jacket that’s also water-resistant.
Alex Mill’s Soho Jacket is a somewhat more feminine alternative to a blazer.
I don’t like a trench coat at all, as I have related many times here. But I really love a short trench, so go figure. It’s not especially super-pricey, but here’s a good and cheaper option.
A fantastic Patagonia light down jacket, part of a collab with Reformation. If you’re a regular here, you know I’m liking light blue this season, and this is a really good light blue.
This one isn’t bad either, and it’s cheaper.
Just a very snappy option that also comes in this delightful gingham.
And finally, a cute cropped shacket for just under $50 that also looks pretty good in this dark brown.

I love jackets but not cropped, hit me exactly where I do not wish to call attention to. Longer ones coming hopefully
I have similar thoughts about cropped jackets. I look at the photos and they look so stylish and put together, but all I can think about is cool air coming up my back. Perhaps it's just that Boston Spring has me programmed to shiver.
