I want this amazing jacket so much it hurts: it’s a great shape, and I’m a big fan of houndstooth, especially oversized houndstooth. Plus, I like that the color is less than predictable; I like my outerwear to be colorful, especially since many days it’s the only color I wear.
Just a really streamlined wool blend jacket in a very versatile shade.
I can’t get over how cute this liner jacket is with that heart-shaped quilting.
A warm fleece liner that’s a really good length.
A wool collarless jacket with a very streamlined silhouette.
Another collarless option that I think is chic as can be.
An Alex Mill quilted number that comes in a few other good colors.
A really well-priced wool bomber.
Of course I have to include at least one jacket from Barbour; this quilted number is so great with the corduroy collar.
And here’s a more classic Barbour, again with a cool corduroy collar.
I especially admire the houndstooth...it has such panache. And that heart-shaped quilting is an adorable but subtle touch of humor and femininity. Perhaps some would might find it clichéd, but I would love it in a lipstick red or deep raspberry. Wouldn't that be a fun punch of color under a serious shade like black, navy or olive?
Thanks for the jacket porn! That first houndstooth is exquisite: beautiful fabric of high quality makes all the difference. I did also see a bit of houndstooth in Paris. Also, saw a lot of daytime sequins! I went to the Arket store in Paris. I saw one beautiful black top in a matelasse type fabric. Didn’t want to be tempted, so I bought a logo tee instead!😀
