Welcome to the new deal on Fridays around here, in which I will interview women I like/admire/want to be (Friday links still exist! You can find then after the Q&A!).

I met Heather, 46, and Jessica, 48, while I was at Lucky, maybe around 2008. They had made merciless, hilarious fun of one of our covers on their site, Go Fug Yourself. So I sent them a fan email, and they wrote back, and a friendship was born. What I love most about these two is that even though they made their name snarking on red carpet outfits, they’ve both got really big hearts, which comes off in their writing. For a celebrity-centric site, it is remarkably kind.

Over the years, Heather and Jessica have written a whopping five books together. And they started covering a lot more than just outfits on GFY—their TV recaps, just for instance, are legend. Now, they’ve launched a Substack called Drinks With Broads, and it’s where you can now find those recaps, as well as their musings on everything from Cher’s gelato truck to Britney’s memoir. They never don’t amuse me, and I’m so excited to have them debut this new Q&A series.
