I’m really trying to work grey into my wardrobe: I like the way it breaks up some of my otherwise all-black getups. It’s a color that can wash me out, though, so I follow the advice of Mary Clarke, a fashion and beauty editor from Sassy times, who said that if a color doesn’t flatter you, you should make sure another, more becoming color is closest to your face. Another quick note: a lot of the brands below are still running Black Friday sales, so don’t not check that out. OK, first up we’ve got this very spiff blazer, with attached cotton-cashmere cuffs, for a layered look without the bulk.
I love the brushed cashmere sweaters that J. Crew is selling right now—they just look so fuzzy, chic, and warm. I also like their fitted cardi for wearing with dresses.
Just a cute cashmere/wool blend striped polo sweater.
These sweatpants are great: kind of old-school in look, but cut to flatter.
Sezane, in all of their wisdom, chose to cover this coat by a large handbag, but it still comes off pretty great.
I own this cashmere cardi in a navy cotton iteration, and like it so much I’m considering going for this one too.
The single-breasted-ness of this peacoat at first threw me off, but now it’s what I like about it.
A classic fleece hoodie, ideal for layering and priced very well.
A good oversized tee that I might go for in duplicate.
And finally, a roomy cashmere V-neck, for wearing with everything.
I love a mid to dark heather gray. I often think it’s more versatile than black but lighter grays wash me out.
Just got this beauty from JCrew. I want to love Frank & Eileen, and I love everything they do, but their price points are loony for what they are selling.....and it's not like I mind spending on things I love. https://www.jcrew.com/p/CB927?mode=add&N=X-LARGE&NUM_ITEMS=1&cartId=15d82206a0ff2e986ab001b14d&color_name=hthr-charcoal&selectedShipmentId=HOME
